Eric and Frank are two young men that put their time and energy in to giving back at Ladles of Hope Soup kitchen on Long Island. We hear to often today that young people are distracted and not engaged in their local community. Well that does not apply to Eric and Frank. Early this Saturday when most people their age are still in bed enjoying a good rest, they decided to get up early and give back. Throughout the day they responded to every request for help with enthusiasm and a smile on their face. Everyone of our regulars commented on what polite and friendly young men that they were. They helped set up in the morning, distribute clothing to needy clients and when given the opportunity to call it a day they spent extra time cleaning up before closing time. We hope to see more of them in the future and we are sure that they are leaders in the making. Eric and Frank.....THANK YOU

Girl Power in action at Ladles of Hope Soup KitchenWho do you call when you have a very busy Saturday at the soup kitchen planned
Dorothy ,Gianna,Nadia and Lily These young ladies should be wearing capes because they are true super heroes. With smiles on their faces the whole time they rolled up their sleeves and got right to work. We are truly lucky to have such special young people come in and help out and bring an energy to the room that was much needed. Throughout the day they displayed their talents and people skills while assisting our clients in the clothing room as well as the kitchen. They are true ambassadors for todays youth and continue to lead by their actions. Thank you ladies and we hope to see you again soon |
