Ladles of Hope, Inc. (LOH), is an organization consisting of volunteers only and is a 501 (c)(3) corporation serving those in need in Nassau County through soup kitchens and pantries.
When we do not have COVID restrictions, LOH has teams of volunteers rotating each Saturday throughout the year. (New requirement, is for all volunteers to be VIRTUS certified.) Many of the volunteers at LOH have been working for this soup kitchen for almost 20 years. There are no administrative costs, salaries or reimbursement to any volunteers for their time; the members of the board of directors are also unpaid. LOH exists on private donations only, never accepting donations from those whom we serve.
